Baby blanket and Beach walk (with teeny weeny crabs)

Hello again! I can finally show you the little baby blanket I made.

I wanted to play around with an envelope theme so I started by making some cute fabric stamps.
And used a fancy stitch on my machine as loopy 'handwriting' on the envelopes.
I added a bit of hand stitched gold thread.
I needed to add some borders and used half square triangles arranged to get this effect. I think it looks a little like the airmail pattern on letters so it fits with the theme.
By sewing both sides of the strips together you can place your triangle ruler (or corner of rectangle one) on the seam and cut. Press open for instant half square triangles!
Arrange and join them up.

Voila! I also made a card with sweet Victorian images of a moses basket, birds and a pretty postcard with babys name and birth details on as a keepsake.

In the garden we have lots of pretty yellow snap dragons. Do you remember putting your finger in these as a kid? Well Big Sparkle likes to feed our ones cherries!

Yummy strawberries and raspberries too.
The lovely weather has meant we can have fun in the paddling pool again.

My gorgeous orange rose is blooming.

Splish splash!!!

Ladybird, ladybird fly away home..
Another evening at Lepe and we found lots of teeny weeny crabs.

Daddy showed the girls how to skim stones. And Little Sparkle invented a flower holder.
Find a shell and a flower...
Insert stalk into shell...
Close shell. And there you have it.
We had a very lovely sunset before heading home.

Hope you had a lovely sunny week, see you soon,
